タナアバンえき かいはつが すすみます

Tanah Abang station development progresses

ジャカルタはタナアバンを しょうぎょうの ちゅうしんちに していく けいかくを もって います

Jakarta has plans to make Tanah Abang a commercial center

こうつうターミナルも せいびする よていです They are planning to improve the transportation terminal

20ねん ちかくも まえからの けいかく ですが,なかなか すすみません

It's been a plan for almost 20 years, but it's not going well.

ひだりてはタナアバンえきの せんろ、いききの できない へいが あります

On the left is the railroad track at Tanah Abang Station, which has a fence that cannot be reached.

みぎてには おおきな かわがあります、はしは ありません There is a big river on the right, there is no bridge





ここはタナアバンえきと かわに はさまれた ちいきでした This was the area between Tanah Abang Station and the river

５ねんまえは くるまは、ここには はいって これませんでした Five years ago, cars couldn't come in

えきてまえの はしから つぎのはしまで２キロは あります There is 2 km from the bridge in front of the station to the next bridge

On the left is the railroad track at Tana Abang Station, which has a fence that cannot be reached.

でも きょねん ここに きたとき には このみちは もう くるまが はしれるように なって いました

When I came here last year, this road was already ready for cars

もう ここでテントに すんでる ひとは ほとんど いません Few people live in tents here

いちぶの ひとは まだ かわの ほうの どてにテントを つくって いました

Some people were still building tents on the banks of the river



きょねんはタナアバンえきでは ちかどうを つくって いました

Last year they were building an underpass at Tanah Abang Station

かんせい したら じょうきゃくが せんろを わたって でんしゃが おくれる ことも なく なります

Once completed, passengers will not cross railroad tracks and trains will not be delayed

えき ちかくで5ふん いじょう ていしゃ して またされる ことも なくなるでしょう

You won't have to wait for more than 5 minutes near the station







ちずに みえる えきちかくの はしは こうかきょう なので でいりぐちは ありません

The bridge near the station that you can see on the map is a viaduct, so there is no doorway

せんろが かわを わたる ところが いちばん ちかい でぐちに なって いました

The nearest exit was where the railroad crossed the river

おなじ ところ から くるまが はいれる みちも きょねんは できて いました

Last year there was a road for cars to enter from the same place.

そこは もう せんろぞいの かべも なく なって いました

There was no wall between the railroad tracks anymore

シンガポールにビザえんちょうの ため、ひがえりフライトして かえりました

I flew back from Singapore for a day trip to extend my visa

イミグレーションも もんだいなく とおり こころは はればれです

There is no problem with immigration, and my heart is clear.

ガンビルいきの くうこうバスです。　じゅうたい して います

It's on the airport bus to Gambir. There is a traffic jam

バスを とちゅうで おりてトランスジャカルタの りようを かんがえます

I ,m thinking to　ｇet off the bus on the way and to usie TransJakarta

はじめて ほうそうの あんないが あってバスが とまりそうです

There is a broadcast guide for the first time and the bus seems to stop

ナビだと あるいて20ぷんでタナアバンの ばしょです、

It's a 20-minute walk to Tana Aban ｂｙ Navi,

けっこう あるけど やどまでの ごうけい しょようじかんが みじかいです

It's quite a distance, but the total time required to reach the inn is short

ビザもんだいも かいけつ して きょうは やるきが あります

I have solved my visa problem and am motivated today

タナアバンまで20ぷん あるいたら えき ふたつでステイさきです

20 minutes walk to Tana Abang and two station take me destination

ナビたよりにタナアバンえきまで あるいて きました

I came to Tana Aban station with relying on the navigation

するとタナアバンえきは かわの むかいに あります

Then Tana Abang station is across the river

みた ところ わたれる はしは みぎも ひだりも はるか かなたです

Apparently the bridge I can cross is far to the right and left

えきはナビの とおり すぐ しょうめんに みえてます

The station can be seen right in front like the navigation says

ナビは わたしに およがせる つもりです　　Navi is going to let me swim

Ahh, the navigation failed, this's where I can see the station, not the bridge

わたしは りゆうも なく ひだりの はしの ほうこうに むかって あるきます

I walk towards the bridge on the left for no reason









はし までの とちゅう こどもたちが にほんでも なじみのケンケンパを やってました

On the way to the bridge, the children were doing Kenkenpa, which is familiar in Japan.

はし わたって えきまで ひきかえしたら もうすぐです

It will be soon after crossing the bridge and returning to the station









えきまで ひきかえして きました

I came back to the station

ところが えきと みちの あいだはフェンスが あり えきに はいれません

However, there is a fence between the station and the road, so I cannot enter the station.

ひきかえす のも いやだし、まっすぐ つぎの はしを めざして あるきました

I don't want to turn back, so I walked straight toward the next bridge

ひだりてに えきのプラットホームを ながめながら

つぎの はしまで きました　　　　　　　　I came to the next bridge

ところが はしは こうかきょうで じぶんの みちからは のぼれません

However, the bridge is a viaduct and I cannot climb it from ｍｙ road.

かわと せんろに はさまれた はしの したを まっすぐ あるきます

こまりました　　　　　　I am troubled

これでは もう えきには もどれません　　　　I can't go back to the station anymore







あるいて きた みちを ふりかえります、えきは みぎてです

Looking back on the road I walked on, the station is on our right



もう ひきかえせ ません I can't turn back anymore

つぎの えきまで あるく かくごを きめました　　　　　　 　　I decided to walk to the next station

さきに すすめば みちは ひらけると しんじて あるきます　　　　I believe that if I go ahead, the road will open







ここには しゃしんを とるのが ためらわれる ような ふうけいが ありました

There was a landscape here that made me hesitate to take pictures

おとなの ひとが みえないのを みはからって しゃしんを とりました

I took a picture in anticipation of not seeing an adult person

ひだりは せんろと さえぎる へい、みぎては かわ　　The left is a fence that blocks the railroad tracks, and the right is a river

どちらにも わたれない この ばしょに ひとびとの せいかつ くうかんが ありました

There was a living space for people in this place that could not be crossed by either

やたいらしい みせも ありました There was also a stall-like store

みんな ふつうの まちの なかで せいかつ してる ような ようすに みえます

Everyone looks like they are living in a normal town



わかものも じょせいも こどもも ふつうに せいかつ して います Young people, women and children live normally

わたしは もちろん よそもの として みられます I'm seen as a stranger, of course,

でも あいさつ すれば ふつうに へんじが かえって きます But if I say hello, I will get a normal reply

ないしんは おだやかでは ありませんでした The inner heart was not calm

つぎの はしまで きたら やっと みちが ひらかれました When I came to the next bridge, the road was finally opened

れっしゃの せんろが かわを わたって いたのです The train tracks were crossing the river.



その わきに ひとが とおれる ほどうが ついて いました There was a sidewalk next to it that people could pass through







やっと1，5キロの へいさ くうかん から かいほう されました I was finally released from the enclosed space of 1.5 km

しかし せまい ろじしか ありません But there are only narrow alleys

ろじは ほうこうかん なく つづいて、せいかつ してる ひとたちの だいどころの よこを あるきます

The alley continues without a sense of direction and walks beside the kitchens of the living people



かならず まいごに なる みちです　　　　　　　　　　　　　　It ’s definitely a way to get lost.

なによりも つぎの えきには たどりつけないと かんじ、せんろに もどりました

Above all, I felt that I could not reach the next station, so I returned to the railroad track

はんぶん はだかの ひとが ときどき いたり します　　　　　Sometimes there are half-naked people

せんろに もどったら また いしつな くうかん でした　　　　When I returned to the railroad track, it was a different space again

いまは せんろを あるいている ひとたちの りゆうも さっしが つきます

Now I can understand the reason for people walking on the railroad tracks

きがねなく まいごに ならずに つぎの もくてきちまで あるける

You can walk to the next destination without hesitation and without getting lost

かいほうかん ある みちの かわり だから なんです　　　　It ’s a substitute for an open road.



そしてビザもんだいをクリアした わたしの きもちは はれやかです And my feelings that cleared the visa problem are radiant

いしころ、じゃり ばかり ですから ねんざ しないように あるきます There are only stones and gravel, so walk so as not to sprain.

これでは たぶん くつは はんとしも もたないと おもいました I thought shoes probably wouldn't last for half a year







やはり まよう ことなく いっていの ところまで すすめるのが この せんろでした

こたえは かわを わたる せんろと はしでした　　　　　　　The answer was railroad tracks and bridges across the river

この ちいきから そとの どうろの せかいへの でぐちと なって います　　　　It is the exit from this area to the world of roads outside

たどりついた わたしの せいかつ はんいのクバヨランえき Kebayoran station in my living area







すいぶん ほきゅうの みずも なくなり あるいて きましたI ran out of hydration water and walked

いつも てをだすのに ていこうの あったフルーツを かって しまいましたI bought a fruit that I was always reluctant to touch

これがジャカルタでの やたいフルーツデビューと なりましたThis was the debut of street food fruit in Jakarta

そうとう あるきつかれて いたから きっと ていけっとうを おぎなう くらいでしょう
I was so tired from walking that I'm sure it would make up for my hypoglycemia.

タナアバン駅の開発が進んでいます

ジャカルタはタナアバンを商業の中心地にしていく計画を持っています

Jakarta has plans to make Tanah Abang a commercial center

交通ターミナルも 整備する 予定です They are planning to improve the transportation terminal

20年近くも前からの計画ですが,なかなか進みません

It's been a plan for almost 20 years, but it's not going well.



これは5年前の写真です This is a photo from 5 years ago

左手はタナアバン駅の線路、行き来の出来ない塀があります

On the left is the railroad track at Tanah Abang Station, which has a fence that cannot be reached.

右手には大きな川があります、橋はありません There is a big river on the right, there is no bridge



ここはタナアバン駅と川に挟まれた地区でした This was the area between Tanah Abang Station and the river

５年前は車は、入って来れませんでした Five years ago, cars couldn't come in

駅手前の橋から次の橋まで２キロはあります There is 2 km from the bridge in front of the station to the next bridge



去年ここに来た時には,この道はもう車が走れるようになっていました

When I came here last year, this road was already ready for cars

テントに住んでる人はほとんどいません Few people live in tents

一部の人達は,まだ川のほうの土手にテントを作っていました

Some people were still building tents on the banks of the river



去年はタナアバン駅では地下道を作っていました

Last year they were building an underpass at Tanah Abang Station

完成したら,乗客が線路を渡って電車が遅れることもなくなります

Once completed, passengers will not cross railroad tracks and trains will not be delayed

駅近くで5分以上停車して待たされることもなくなるでしょう

You won't have to wait for more than 5 minutes near the station







地図に見える駅近くの橋は高架橋なので出入り口はありません

線路が川を渡る所が一番近い出口になっていました

シンガポールにビザ延長の為、日帰りフライトして帰りました

ガンビル行の空港バスです。　渋滞しています

It's on the airport bus to Gambir. There is a traffic jam

バスを途中で降りてトランスジャカルタの利用を考えます

I ,m thinking to　ｇet off the bus on the way and to usie TransJakarta

初めて放送案内があってバスが止まりそうです

ナビだと歩いて20分でタナアバンです、

結構あるけど宿までの全体所要時間が短いです

引き返すのも嫌だし、まっすぐ次の橋を目指して歩きました

ところが橋は高架橋で自分の道からは登れません

次の駅まで歩く覚悟を決めました　　　　　　 　　I decided to walk to the next station

先に進めば道は開けると信じて歩きます　　　　I believe that if I go ahead, the road will open







ここには写真を取るのがためらわれるような風景がありました

神戸の被災地を歩いた時と同じような気持ちです I feel the same as when I walked in the disaster area of Kobe



次の橋まで来たらやっと道が開かれました When I came to the next bridge, the road was finally opened

列車の線路が川を渡っていたのです The train tracks were crossing the river.



そのわきに人が通れる歩道が付いていました There was a sidewalk next to it that people could pass through
